MediServe Heads to Dallas for HIMSS 2005

The 2005 HIMSS Conference and Exhibition will bring approximately 20,000 Healthcare IT professionals together in Dallas February 13 - 17 to evaluate what's new in the industry. MediServe Clients offer an Internal Perspective to Industry Peers

MediServe Clients are on the move to talk about the success they have achieved with the MediLinks clinical information system. Some have flown cross country and others have endured Omaha in January to share the impact MediServe has had on their departments with other industry professionals.

MediServe offers half day seminars all across the United States to attendees in the market for or interested in utilizing a clinical information system in their Respiratory Care or Rehabilitative Medicine departments. Admission is free and includes breakfast and lunch. Members of the AARC are also offered 3 continuing education credits for attending. Registration for the event is required due to limited seating.

MediServe Teaches Solutions at Conference

Zach Mortensen, Product Manager, MediServe Information Systems along with Mike Donnelly, Sr. Software Engineer, University of Utah Health Sciences Center presented "Connecting the Dots: Integrating HIS and Ancillary Systems with .NET" on Sunday, February 13 at the 2005 Annual HIMSS Conference.

In one hour Mortensen and Donnelly explained how they were able to bridge the gap between two strongly motivated sides of the hospital and health system environment. They offered a solution to the age old dilemma of choosing between the idea of a information system that is easier to maintain offered by many one size fits all HIS vendors and the systems specifically designed with the needs and workflow of one department in mind.

MediServe Information Systems, Inc. is able to offer a third option to satisfy and exceed the needs and expectations of all parties involved by utilizing Microsoft .NET technology to integrate its clinical information system for Respiratory Care and Rehabilitative Medicine, MediLinks. Through this integration they were able to create a seamless interface between themselves and industry-leading HIS services. They used the implementation of the MediLinks system at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center to demonstrate the workings and success of this solution.
