St. Rita's Medical Center Adds Rehabilitation Information System to MediServe Project, Citing Results in Respiratory Care

TEMPE, AZ - April 5, 2005 - MediServe Information Systems, Inc. announced that St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio will add the MediLinks® solution for Rehabilitation in support of acute care, inpatient, and outpatient rehabilitation services. The system will be available to physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapists, rehab nurses, social workers, and physicians. St. Rita's Medical Center is a 453 bed medical center serving West Central Ohio, and is a member of Catholic Healthcare Partners, a mission-driven, not-for-profit health system.

"We expect high impact from automating Rehabilitation Services with a system that meets its unique workflow needs and complements our hospital information system," said Brian Hymer, Chief Information Officer, St. Rita's Medical Center. "We previously completed a twelve week implementation of the MediLinks solution for Respiratory Care in November, 2003 and have received results commensurate with our consensus projections. For this reason, we are confident in MediServe's ability to also provide similar clinical transformation to our Rehabilitation Services."

"The MediLinks product will allow Rehabilitation Services to be fully integrated into the electronic medical record for all healthcare providers to review," said Kelley Recker, Administrative Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, St. Rita's Medical Center. "The product will improve efficiencies related to timeliness of charges, scoring for the IRF-PAI and communication among healthcare providers. We are very excited to move into electronic documentation with Mediserve."
