Chandler, AZ – July 14, 2011 – MediServe hosts an online survey that can help inpatient rehabilitation providers gain a better understanding for how they’re managing CMS’ 3 Hour Rule by comparing their current process to other inpatient rehabilitation providers.
Early results of the survey indicate that the majority of inpatient rehabilitation providers feel that being audited on the 3 Hour Rule is “Very Likely” or “Extremely Likely” to occur. However, more than a third of the inpatient rehabilitation providers place the individual therapists primarily responsible for compliance to the 3 Hour Rule. Medicare criteria requirements have become a significant component in defining the intensity of care provided by inpatient rehabilitation providers. Failure to repeatedly meet this requirement may result in a loss of status.
Still, many inpatient rehabilitation providers continue to rely on manual processes to manage 3 Hour Rule compliance because of the limited options that exist in today’s market. MediServe Achieve Scheduling is the only automated scheduling solution designed specifically for inpatient rehabilitation. “MediServe helps inpatient rehabilitation providers as they strive to manage the increasing demands of ever-changing compliance regulations, specifically as it relates to the unique inpatient rehabilitation scheduling environment and the 3 Hour Rule,” said Bill Dyer, President and CEO, MediServe.
